This book relies extensively on interviews, many of which are quoted throughout. There are some interesting glimpses into Trump’s life, especially the early years. But the description of this book says that it is “Not a partisan pro-trump or anti-trump book”. Yet it was written by Fox news icon Bill O’Reilly. Really, what are the odds? In fact, O’Reilly states over and over in the opening pages that his book is factual, not partisan. But saying it repeatedly ain’t gonna make it so.Also, it is not at all well written. Usually when I review a book I disagree with I can at least write that it is “well written”. This one isn’t. It’s actually pretty horrendous.BOTTOM LINE: Painful read on every level.
